Christmas 2015

Christmas was a couple months ago so forgive me for the late update! We flew back to Indiana this year because we knew we couldn't drive through the night - nor did we want Annie in a car-seat for 12 hours. She can tolerate the drive to/from school but that's only 30 minutes each way. What we thought would be a quick flight into Louisville turned out to be awful! The weather in the area was stormy and come to find out, tornadic. Well, thank you Delta for trying to land us 4 times in the middle of that weather - you caused me to get sick TWICE! It was the worst flight I've ever been on and in the past couple of years, I've flown quite a bit. Thankfully, Annie slept on Duane during this 50 minute ordeal and Liv was tied up with her movie. I, on the other hand, did not do so well. Obviously we couldn't land so we diverted to Indy and then it happened that the flight crew was out of hours so they couldn't take us back to Louisville. We ended up renting a car and driving the 3 hours south to Ferdinand - we finally rolled in at 1am on Christmas Eve morning.

The rest of the visit couldn't have been better and by day 8, we almost hadn't overstayed our welcome! (Right, Mom?) Uncle Alex was kept VERY busy with playing and Liv hardly let him have any breaks or time to himself. Annie charmed everyone with her budding personality. Sadly, we were very bad with the camera and didn't capture as many moments as we should have....I really do regret this.

Christmas Eve started with Duane taking our rental car back to Evansville and bumming a ride back with Ken and Jan. We had lunch at my mom and dad's house and then opened presents with my uncle and aunt. It was pretty sad not having my Grandpa Kraus there, though! I know he would have gotten a kick out of watching Annie and Olivia.

Alex and Olivia went for a walk and she brought back a decoration for Grandma's table!

Duane took the girls to his parents' house after the family party and i went out to the Forest with my parents to take a quick walk. It was a great day!

Fishtale Photos

My friend Noelle took our family photos and Annie's 1 year photos in early December. Unfortunately, I had caught a cold from the girls, which turned into an ear infection - I felt awful the day we had our pictures and couldn't really hear, either. I don't know how kids put up with feeling like that! Thankfully, we have very photogenic girls and everything turned out great! Olivia had impeccable timing and lost a bottom, front tooth a couple days before the pictures - of course! Here are a few of the many wonderful pictures we have from that day.

Annie and her thumb

a photo to celebrate Annie's 1st birthday - she barely even touched the cake by the time we were done but she still is cute!

12 month update

After 12 months of taking pictures - we've reached the milestone of being done! There is a reason most people stop at this point - the babies don't sit still long enough to take a photo! What you don't see in these pictures are Duane's hands below the chair for when Annie takes a nose-dive and tries to climb out of the chair without realizing she'll roll out....

Oh our Annie - the best way to describe her is to say she is constantly smiling and in the best mood! She loves to eat and is a great eater - there isn't anything she won't eat. She a little peanut, though, and we cannot figure where all the food goes. She's in the 40th percentile for height and weight and she seems to have the same ear troubles as her sister. (more on that later!) Annie is just a joy and we can't imagine our lives without her!
