1st Saturday on White Bear Lake of Summer 2012

We think (and hope) Olivia is going to love being on the boat this summer! Today was our first time out and she seemed to enjoy herself. First step is getting the life jacket on and she was a pro at this - not a single tear!

"Come on, Daddy! I am so ready for this!"
She wasn't too sure once the boat was revved up but when we took off, she was fine! Although, the second we stopped and anchored, she started saying, "All done." She said this about every 1-2 minutes. We just kept laughing and telling her that she wasn't done yet. We had lunch and she stayed busy enough for a few hours. Around 12:30pm, we headed back to the dock as we weren't sure how she would nap. Before we reached the dock, she was asleep in my arms.

Liv stayed sleeping while we got the boat on the trailer, cleaned up everything, took her life jacket off and then woke up when Duane put her into her car seat. Well, since she was awake, why not stop for some ice cream at Cup 'n Cone?! They have kiddie cones and we just knew Liv wanted it. She didn't finish it and was a little weirded out by the actual licking of the cone.

"Hey, what are you looking at?!"
Once we got home, it took Liv some time to fall back asleep but she eventually did. In fact, over the monitor, I could hear her saying, "Baby, nigh nigh." Duane met some friends to brew beer and I relaxed in the backyard. Tonight we picked up a new life jacket for our growing girl and had dinner at Bonfire. Liv must have caught her second wind before dinner because she was WILD! Wild in a good way, though. She kept herself entertained while we waited for our food but eventually she needed something to snack on. All I had were peas so she snacked on those and when her dinner came, she dug right in. She finished off half of her cheeseburger, a mound of mashed potatoes and probably 1/4 of a cantaloupe, with pineapple and honeydew. Duane took Liv to clean up in the restroom and when they got back to our table, she signed for more burger - and took 4 more bites?! She was dancing and jumping around our table and ran at full speed back to the truck. We could not stop laughing - she was hilarious!
