We had a fairly uneventful week but a much more fun weekend! But that's how it's supposed to be, right? Friday night we had dinner at the Bowe's house and Liv was so happy! In fact, she completely forgot that she was potty trained and had accidents left and right because she was so engrossed in all the toys the Bowe girls have....yes, we were very embarrassed! (Sarah - thanks for all the back up undies and pants....sorry for the messes!) We had just enough time to laugh at ourselves playing Sarah's Xbox dancing game and then the girls used Duane as a horse.
Saturday morning and into the afternoon, Duane brewed beer with some friends. Olivia and I went to a nearby library but she wasn't as interested in the books as she was all the toys they had. We had lunch at home and then it was time for her nap. She fell asleep a little later than I had hoped she would so we had to wake her for the "big show!" We had dinner at Punch Pizza and Liv actually helped me finish off my pizza once she ate all of hers. We arrived with a couple minutes for a potty break, we found our seats and the show began....Sesame Street Live!!! Olivia pretty much sat with her eyes glued on the stage and when I asked her if she wanted a snack, she nodded without looking at me. She held her little dish of chocolate goldfish and didn't utter a peep.
Before the lights had even been brought up for intermission, the Elmo balloon guy was walking out and taunting every toddler in Target Center! ;) We didn't succumb to his selling powers but Duane bought Liv a Bert doll when he had a popcorn break. Before we knew it, the show was over and Liv seemed to love it. She's been attached to Bert every since and he even went to Target with us today.
It was quite cold here today so we've been nesting at home. Have a great week, everyone!
