Mother's Day weekend

I decided that Mother's Day just shouldn't be on Sunday - I wanted to celebrate the whole weekend! Friday was beautiful outside so we headed to Punch Pizza and ate outside. The three of us fully embraced the Punch experience and scarfed our pizzas in silence and every once and a while, you would hear, "mmmm...this is so good!" We topped off our evening with Grand Ole Creamery ice cream and headed home.

Saturday morning Duane and Liv ran a Mother's Day errand and then we headed south for Logan Farmer's birthday party. Olivia had a fun time running around the playground and played an arcade basketball game by throwing little basketballs into a hoop. With the tickets she won from the game, she got a pink seashell and treats it like it's a piece of gold.

Liv napped on our drive back to St. Paul and then Duane prepped a couple meals before we headed back out for the night. We had dinner with our friends the Nielsen's and had a great night catching up with them. The last time we hung out with them, I was still pregnant with Liv!

Sunday morning Liv woke up with a nasty cold but she was excited to give me my gifts and card. Liv picked out my card and it was a Barbie card with a sticker! She put the sticker right in the middle of my shirt and I wore it proudly all day. Duane picked out an "O" necklace but being my mother's daughter, I have already returned it. (sorry honey!) Duane had a couple pork butts smoking in the smoker and then we went out for breakfast. Later in the afternoon the Bodkin's came over for BBQ pork and a lovely Mother's Day dinner.

Olivia is still fighting her cold and I actually had to pick her up early today from school because of a fever. I'll stay home with her tomorrow and then hopefully she'll be ready to go back on Thursday. I hope all the mommies out there had a wonderful weekend!
