What a difference a week makes! We've found our new house!

Wow - a week of looking at more homes and we found THE ONE! Last Monday, I scrambled and found a babysitter and we looked at 3 more houses. We made an informal offer that night but the sellers weren't interested at all. We were disappointed but quickly made another evening full of homes to look at with our realtor on Wednesday. The first house we saw was a little further south of Eagan, located in the suburb of Apple Valley. We fell in love!

We arrived at the house before our realtor so we wondered into the backyard. Oh my goodness - what a yard - an acre of land that butts up to lake (more like a pond really)! It's heavily wooded but we still have some grass to run around in. The house was equally awesome and we know we'll have plenty of room; there are 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms and a 3-car garage. The home was built in 1987 and the original owner is the seller. One of my favorites (and this is only 1) is the fact that the master bathroom is the size of our current bedroom!

Really, I could go on and on; we are so excited! Now, if everyone could please say a little prayer or just think positive thoughts for our current house to sell, we'd be even happier. Our inspection is this week so we'll get to go back and check it out and figure out if we want to paint any rooms. We'll be closing August 2 but probably won't move in until sometime mid/late-August.
