Weekend of Water

Two weekends ago, we spent almost every day in the water and it was great! Saturday evening we met up with some friends who recently moved to the south metro. They are super lucky to have a beautiful pool in their backyard so we did not turn down their invitation to come over for dinner and a swim. The dads and kids swam before dinner and had a great time! Olivia surprisingly held it together until we left around 9pm.

The next morning we were off to White Bear Lake to spend the day with the Bodkin family. The weather wasn't great in the morning but by the time we had lunch, the sun started to peek out of the clouds. Walt, Lily and Olivia had a great time playing and the dads spent a lot of time entertaining them. Allison and I actually were able to sit in the boat and talk - it was great!

On Monday, the weather was forecasted to be perfect so Duane and I took a vacation day and went back on White Bear Lake. (Olivia unknowingly spent her day at school, though, while we relaxed on the water.) We had a great day and the weather was amazing - we even had lunch at the White Bear VFW and played pull-tabs....it doesn't get much better than that!
