September was such a great month! We kicked it off with our annual day at the MN State Fair - but it was just me, Duane and Olivia. We decided Annie wouldn't appreciate it as much as us so she went to school. Tuesday, September 1 was hot and crowded - should we have expected anything less?! Olivia had her face painted, rode the kiddie rides, saw animals and giant vegetables and ate to her little heart's content.

What could be better than a day at the fair?! Why, flying back to Ferdinand, Indiana for Labor Day weekend - that's what! Our trip started out a little rocky....when we arrived at MSP, Delta's computer system went down and we stood at the ticket counter for probably 45 minutes waiting. Well, the system never came up so they had to manually write out baggage tags. We wished our bags well as they took off out of sight and then we raced to our gate. Our flight went well and before we knew it, we were in Louisville. Oh but wait - only 2 out of our 3 bags made it. There's more you say? Umm, yah...the bag that wasn't with us was
my bag with all of my clothes and make-up and all of Liv's clothes, too. It wouldn't have been that big of a deal but the next day, we were supposed to take family photos with Duane's side of the family - Liv and I had nothing (and I mean nothing) to wear! Thankfully, by our 2nd night, the bag came and all was well. We had a lot of great family time during our visit to Indiana.

Aunt GG made an awesome watermelon cake so we could all celebrate Olivia's birthday together. It was so cute and so yummy!

And just like that, our time in Ferdinand came to an end. Our flight back to Minnesota was uneventful and all of our luggage made it back home. Annie won some hearts on the flight, too.

After our trip back to Indiana, we had just enough time to settle into a new month and then it was time for someone's big 5th birthday! Annie turned 9 months, too! Both girls had check-up's with their doctor and both are measuring below 50th percentile for height and weight. Annie is definitely a peanut but she's a perfect peanut! Both girls had to have shots and I swear, I thought we were going to get kicked out of the doctor's office. Liv flipped her lid! It was so embarrassing! For the 48 hours following her shots, she cradled her arm as if it was broken....dramatic anyone?!
Annie hit another milestone right at the beginning of September - she had her 2, bottom teeth pop through! My mom noticed on the Friday that we were at home that something sharp was digging into her finger and sure enough - there were those teeth! In preparation for the Halloween and jack-o-lantern season, Annie decided to have 1, top tooth pop through....she looks so funny!

see that top tooth popping through? |
We had a couple of other birthday parties this month and I had one business trip to Detroit. The weather was nicely warm most of the month, too, so that was really nice! Here are some random pictures I wanted to share.
