August update

Another month has come and gone - how does this keep happening so quickly?! Early in the month, we met up with the Bodkin family for some park time, Bread & Pickle lunch and a trolley ride.

I had a work trip early in the month and traveled to Santa Monica for a few nights. Thankfully that was my last trip for over a month! While I was gone, our neighborhood had the annual Night to Unite so Duane and the girls visited with neighbors. Duane had to take Annie home for bed but Liv stayed with some friends/neighbors and had her face painted.

One Saturday we went out on Forest Lake with some friends and had a great time - even if the weather was crappy and cold! No joke - we started out with jackets and covering ourselves with towels.... This didn't stop the kids - they were in the water as soon as the boat stopped. Their shoulders were practically touching their ears from trying to stay warm and eventually I made Liv get out because she had a blue ring around her mouth.

School for both girls has been going really well and it's great having them both in one place. I love getting updates and pictures on the app our daycare uses. Here are a couple of my favorites from August.

One of the most exciting things from the month was seeing Annie crawl! She crawled for the first time on August 10, right as we were getting the girls ready for bed. I was so excited that I was at home because I was supposed to be traveling for work. I'm glad I didn't miss it!
