Another farily lazy weekend....

Sorry folks, I will post even fewer pictures than last week... I think we're in a bit of a winter rut and just don't get the camera out as much. Friday night after work, we went to a new Mexican place in White Bear Lake. The food was so-so but we had some chips and salsa and a beer so that was awesome! We made a rare stop at DQ on the way home and picked up 2 blizzards to eat at home. Olivia helped Duane eat his banana split blizzard and then she wondered over to me, where I was sitting on the couch eating my Oreo blizzard. She climbed up on the couch and got as close to me as she could and said, "Let me help you finish that." Duane and I just looked at each other and burst out laughing!

Saturday morning Duane ran a couple errands and then came home to pick up Liv - he took her with him when he washed my car. She had a great time!

After the car washing, Duane decided it was time to reward Olivia for being so good with the transition into her "big girl bed." So, off we went to Petsmart for a fish.... We came out with a Betta fish, bowl, rocks and a tree-looking thing. By the time we were back home and Duane was getting it all together, Liv had forgotten about the poor fish and didn't really want much to do with it. It's kind of Duane's fish now! ;) Olivia did name it and she came up with Dory.

While Liv napped in the afternoon, I got some time to myself and went shopping. I didn't find much but it's mainly because I can't quite get into the spring shopping mode. We are supposed to get anywhere from 6"-12" of snow yet this week....there is nothing springy about that! Last night we went out for dinner and then went into the gym at BSC. Olivia had a great time running around and throwing balls at Duane and "knocking him down."

Today we did our usual trip to Target and then putzed around home. Olivia hadn't gotten a bath in a few days (oops!) so she had one before Target. She just loves when Duane wraps her towel on her head and yells, "All hail, Princess Sofia!" She calls it her crown.

Duane and I both took turns going into the gym for a real workout in the afternoon. We had an excellent paleo-friendly lasagna for dinner - I'll try and post the link to the recipe. Instead of noodles, the recipe calls for butternut squash planks....it was delicious! This week should be fairly quiet until Wednesday; I'm heading to Norfolk, VA, for work but I'm home around midday on Friday. Have a great week everyone!
